Sam Lawn is a seasoned finance and management executive with a proven track record in financing, capital raising, and corporate development. Currently he serves as Deputy CFO of GDS Holdings, a leading developer and operator of high-performance data centers in Asia. 

 

At GDS, Sam oversees the company's financial operations, consistently driving investment returns across the portfolio of over 100 operational data centers. He has successfully raised more than USD$7 billion through equity, debt, and convertible bonds. Sam was also instrumental in completing the Hong Kong IPO for GDS secondary listing.

 

Before joining GDS, Sam served as CFO at Taomee Holdings, where he managed financial, operational, and investment matters. Sam's expertise also extends to other positions as Executive Director and Head of Investor Relations at Renren Inc. Prior to these roles, Sam was a senior research analyst at Oppenheimer and Co., where he covered sectors such as China’s Internet, Technology, Online Gaming, and Lodging industries.
