Speaker Profile

Sam Lawn is a seasoned finance and management executive with a proven track record in financing, capital raising, and corporate development. He currently serves as the SVP Head of Finance at DayOne, a leading developer and operator of high-performance data centers and was previously the Deputy CFO of GDS Holdings.

Overseeing financial operations across entire organizations, Sam has consistently driven investment returns across the portfolio of over 100 operational data centers globally. He has successfully helped structure and raise more than USD$10 billion of financing through equity, debt, and convertible bonds. His experience extends into managing US publicly listed Companies while also helping to complete a Hong Kong IPO for GDS Holdings. 

Before joining DayOne and GDS, Sam also served as CFO at Taomee Holdings, where he managed all financial, operational, and investment matters. He was an Executive Director and Head of Investor Relations at Renren Inc. Prior to these corporate roles, Sam was a senior research analyst at Oppenheimer and Co., where he covered sectors such as Internet, Technology, Online Gaming, and Lodging industries.
