Dr. Ben Happel is the founding Partner of Altman Solon’s Singapore team and is a leader of the firm’s engagement with Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) clients in the Asian-Pacific (APAC).
Ben has been working with Altman Solon since 2003 and has spent over a decade in South-East-Asia. He has extensive experience in advising investors and lenders in the TMT space in APAC and globally, supporting them in their commercial and technical due diligence processes. His work includes market, competitive, and business plan assessments for data center operators, fixed line, tower, and mobile operators and go-to-market and network deployment strategies for fiber players.

Ben studied business administration and law in Germany (Passau), and the US (UC Berkeley). He holds an MBA from the university of Passau and a PhD in International Management from the Asia Research Centre of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.
