Janaka joined EDOTCO Group in 2014 as a member of the pioneer team tasked with establishing the company through the carve-out of Axiata’s passive infrastructure assets. Over the past 11 years, he has played a key role in shaping EDOTCO’s Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) functions, contributing to a wide range of initiatives including buy-side and sell-side M&A across nine markets, private placement exercises, joint ventures, and strategic collaborations.

In his current role, Janaka leads the M&A function, overseeing the origination and execution of all M&A transactions across EDOTCO’s regional footprint.

Before relocating to Kuala Lumpur, Janaka spent over seven years at Dialog Axiata, Sri Lanka’s leading telecommunications provider, where he held positions in both Corporate Finance and Radio Engineering.
